Erin McGowan

I am currently a member of the Visualization, Imaging, and Data Analysis Center advised by Claudio Silva. My research is focused on data visualization and augmented reality, particularly within the context of the Perceptually-enabled Task Guidance project. I have prior experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and bioinformatics.

Jun 5, 2024	I passed my Ph.D. qualifying exam and am now a Ph.D Candidate! Thank you to my committee members, Claudio Silva, Qi Sun, and Daniele Panozzo.
Apr 5, 2024	I was awarded an Honorable Mention (top 12%) for my NSF Graduate Research Fellowships Program (GRFP) research proposal. Thank you to my advisor, Claudio Silva, and to the NYU Tandon Writing Center, particularly Michele Hanks, Abby Rabinowitz, and Alexander Landfair, for their input on my proposal.
